A short history of the 6644R1: ROUENNAIS
Made from the 18th century in NORMANDY (and until 1960...), it was intended for Norman farmers and breeders. The handle was made of gray horn decorated with 4 rosettes. It could also have two flame blades (Veterinarian Flames) and a boot cleaner to care for animals. The Rouennais was an essential country knife for breeders and horse dealers who appreciated its sharpness and even used it to clean cows' tails, hence its nickname "cow's tail".
