The No.08 Damas Ziricote celebrates Opinel's expertise through the combination of two remarkable materials: Ziricote, a precious wood native to Central America, and stainless Damascus steel with unique patterns.
Naturally veined, Ziricote features shades and patterns that vary from one knife to another, with lighter or darker tones. Each handle is therefore different and each knife unique.
The anthracite ring with titanium finish extends the dark and refined aesthetic.
The Damasteel® steel blade is obtained through powder metallurgy. Two stainless powder alloys are compacted, sintered, and then forged to form a homogeneous material. After grinding and polishing, the blade undergoes acid etching, which reveals the different layers of steel and exposes the characteristic "Sparse Twist™" pattern.
This exceptional edition comes with a black lambskin leather sheath made in France and its instruction manual. The set is presented in an oak gift box featuring a leather cord.
