The N°08 black palm tree is a unique knife due to its anthracite finish and its Guyana wood.
Black palm, or patawa, is a black wood with light streaks and black spots similar to a leopard print on the heel.
The stainless steel blade and ferrule have a matte anthracite finish. The ferrule locks the blade in the open and closed positions.
Delivered in a box, the knife is available in 6250 copies. Made in France
Technical characteristics
- Blade length: 8.5 cm. Sandvik 12C27M steel blade with a matte anthracite finish.
- Handle: The handle is made of black palm (patawa) which is a black wood from Guyana with light streaks and forming black dots at the end of the handle at the heel for a surprising leopard effect.
- Safety Ring: Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from No. 06 onwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety of use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety of transport).
